29 Card Game is usually played by four players in fixed partnerships, partners facing each other. 32 cards from a standard 52-card pack are used for play. There are eight cards in each of the usual "French" suits: hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades. The cards in every suit rank from high to low: J-9-A-10-K-Q-8-7
Euchre is a four-player trump game, wherein the players are paired to form two partnerships. Standard Euchre uses a deck of 24 Playing cards consisting of A, K, Q, J, 10, and 9 of each of the four suits. A 52-card deck can be used, omitting the cards from 2 to 8, or a pinochle deck may be divided in half to form two Euchre decks. Sometimes, a 32-card piquet or skat deck is used, which includes the 8s and 7s.
Each player is dealt five cards (seven if using the 32-card deck) in clockwise order in two rounds. A "cut" is sometimes offered by the dealer to the player to the right. In some variations, the cut must be requested.
Durak is typically played with two to five people, using a Deck of 36 cards, for example a Standard 52 card deck from which the numerical cards 2 through 5 have been removed. The game can be played with six people if desired. In theory the limit for a game with one deck of 36 cards is six players, but this gives a considerable advantage to the player who attacks first, and a considerable disadvantage to the player who defends first. Variants exist that use more than one deck.
Checkers is played by two opponents, on opposite sides of the gameboard. One player has the dark pieces; the other has the light pieces. Players alternate turns. A player may not move an opponent's piece. A move consists of moving a piece diagonally to an adjacent unoccupied square.
